I’m just a kid chasing a dream but what separate me from everybody else is that I’m CHRIS BOGAN. I could go on and on about my life story but that’s boring. I live in the suburbs and I’m getting tired of seeing people with more than me that hasn’t worked as hard as me. I stand by all my work and all my artists I never hire anybody that doesn’t bring anything to the table. I pick my friend and girlfriends using that method and that why I never without a girl and never without friends. I’m in music not so much of the money naw….because I wish it and I dream it and now it time for me to do it. I’m misunderstood but not for long soon I’m go get my break I’m just dreaming and hoping its today. Support my label we need it and please contact so that I can further talk about it.

I am 26 and I have been working with beats, composing, mixing, and adding affects to my tracks for almost 5 months after a 2 month self educating experience on youtube learning about music production. I plan to attend the Academy of Arts University to study Music Production and Sound Design for Visual Media in addition to hands on experience in my studio I have built. (thanx to youtube) I personally started creating beats on Mixcraft 5 which is the alternative to Garage Band for MAC. I use a Tascam interface with Cubase 5 LE for now. I use a Precision 120 condenser microphone w/ pop filter. A quality musical keyboard, drum pad, foam for the vocal booth and new software are all in the future. I think Im going to try out pro tools 9.

Hey Johnny jam,
My names domenic and I live in Sydney Australia I’m 25.
I’ve been producing for a year now , and what I’ve discovered is you need to start small to get anywhere. What I started to do is work on my drum patterns . Once I’ve got a hang on them down pat I started with riffs , pads etc,but what I wanted to know is what vst has great bass for hiphop and r&b and what is the best tip in creating a baseline?

In reference to Elise’s comment, I was exactly where you were at. I wanted to have everything to do with music and turned down every opportunity for a different career. I also wanted to prove everyone wrong and show them I could have have a musical career. Right now I am attending the Conservatory of Recording arts and sciences. It is a great school however I came with the wrong intentions. If you want to succeed in anything do it for yourself not to prove anyone wrong. My advice would be to explore ALL your options, look into getting a degree at a local college or university, then maybe further your education by going to a place that specializes in music. Good luck!
